1/2 marathon, 5K road race and 1/2 marathon relay!

We are pleased to announce that all money raised at this years race will be going to the Veterans Freedom Center! This center exists to meet the needs of active duty, reserve and all Honorably Discharged Tri-State military veterans. Visit veteransfreedomcenter.net for more information.

Benefit Classic

Come out and celebrate the 45th Annual Dubuque Benefit Classic Half Marathon and 5K! The race will start and end at the Mystique Community Ice Center.

This year we are excited to announce that we have a new course! This course highlights some of Dubuque’s most beautiful areas including the Bee Branch and the Mississippi River. Another huge update to this course is that it is completely flat! Get ready for some fast times!!

This race is the perfect training run for those gearing up for one of the many Midwest fall marathons.

We will again have the “Merge 1 Miler” for kids 12 and under for FREE!!

The half marathon course will close at 11:00 am. Runners must be at the half way point by 9:15.

Relay

We are excited to announce that this year we are also going to have a 1/2 marathon relay! Put together a 2, 3, or 4 person relay team and join us for a fun time! All relay members will receive a hat and finisher medal at the end of the race!

Awards

For the half marathon, the overall male and female will receive a $400 cash prize as well as the first master’s finisher (40+) male and female will receive $250.

​Second place and third place in each category will also get a cash prize.

The race will be chip-timed and awards will be based on gun time.

5K – $45 ($40 for MVRA members)
Half – $65 ($55 for MVRA members) Relay – $160

Register Online

Online registration will be open until noon on Friday, September 15.  

​PACKET PICK-UP 
Packet pick-up will be Friday, September 15 from 5:00-6:30 at Murphy Park and the morning of the race from 6:00-7:00.

Registration will also be available at packet-pickup and same day after online registration closes. There is no same day registration for the relay.
